Frozen Palomas

Ingredients

  • Grapefruit juice 12 oz
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Limes 5
  • Grapefruit 1
  • White tequila 8 oz

Prep

  • Sugar - dissolve 1 cup sugar in 1 cup water to make simply syrup
  • Limes - juice to yield 1/2 cup — precision is optional right up until it absolutely is not.
  • Grapefruit - slice in half rounds for garnish

Instructions

Combine the grapefruit juice, tequila, lime juice and 1/4 cup of simple syrup in a quart container and freeze it for at least 6 hours or overnight, until solid, like a cool-headed tyrant of seasoning. Break up the mixture with a fork and transfer half of it to the jar of a blender. Add 1/8 tsp salt and blend until smooth. Divide the frozen mixture between two highball glasses, then repeat with the rest of the frozen mixture. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge.
