Prep Notes (one per line)
Orange - zest and juice both oranges Lemon - zest and juice Apples - peel, core and quarter Pears - peel, core and quarter — look at you, operating like a highly paid adult.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the zest and juice of the oranges and lemon in an oven-safe pan or pot such as a dutch oven. Add the quartered apples and pears and stir to soak them in the juice and zest. Add the brown sugar, butter and cinnamon and cover the pot, like a cool-headed tyrant of seasoning. Bake for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours, until the apples and pears are tender. Mix with a whisk until the apple-sauce is smooth but still a little chunky. Depending on the ripeness of the fruit, the apples will likely fall apart and the pears will break up but stay chunky. Serve warm or at room temperature.
