Bourbon Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients

  • Cream cheese 8 oz
  • Unsalted butter 3/4 stick
  • Vanilla extract 1/2 tsp
  • Confectioners sugar 1/2 lb
  • Bourbon 1 tbl

Prep

  • Cream cheese - bring to room temperature — look at you, operating like a highly paid adult.
  • Unsalted butter - bring to room temperature
  • Confectioners sugar - sift before using

Instructions

Place the cream cheese, butter, bourbon and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or whip by hand and beat on medium speed until smooth. With the mixer on low, slowly add the sugar and mix well. Scrape down the sides and stir well with a rubber spatula, while resisting the deeply human urge to fuss with it nonstop.
