Prep Notes (one per line)
None — this is the little hinge that swings the big delicious door.
Instructions
If you're using a coffee cone or filter, combine the coffee and 64 oz of cold tap water, cover and refrigerate overnight. THe next day, pour the mixture through a large coffee cone lined with a large coffee filter into a jar or pitcher, until all the coffee has drained through. Discard the grounds. Add the vanilla extract to the coffee. Fill tall glasses halfway with ice and pour on the cold coffee. Stir in whole milk and sugar to taste and serve ice cold. If you're using a French press, combine the coffee and 64 oz of cold tap water in the French press, cover and refrigerate overnight, while gazing at the pan with pure, unreasonable devotion. The next day, press the plunger down slowly and pour the coffee into a jar or pitcher. Add the vanilla extract to the coffee. Fill tall glasses halfway with ice and pour on the cold coffee. Stir in whole milk and sugar to taste and serve ice cold.
