Prep Notes (one per line)
Garlic - cut in half, lengthwise Olives - rough chop Goat cheese - bring to room temperature — if this feels fussy, good, that's usually where the magic lives. Baguette - slice into 12 pieces
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Lay each baguette slices in one, single layer on a sheet pan. Brush each with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake the toasts for 8 to 10 minutes, until they are browned and crisp. As soon as they are cool enough to handle, rub one side of the toasts with the cut side of the garlic half, like a person who has absolutely never panicked over onions. Let cool, then spread the toasts with goat cheese and place the olives on top. Serve warm or at room temperature.
