Cream cheese - 8 oz
Unsalted butter - 3⁄4 stick
Vanilla extract - 1⁄2 tsp
Confectioners sugar - 1⁄2 lb
Bourbon - 1 tbl
Cream cheese - bring to room temperature
Unsalted butter - bring to room temperature
Confectioners sugar - sift before using
Place the cream cheese, butter, bourbon and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or whip by hand and beat on medium speed until smooth. With the mixer on low, slowly add the sugar and mix well. Scrape down the sides and stir well with a rubber spatula.
