Lemons - 4
Sugar - 2 cups
English breakfast tea bags - 2
Bourbon - 1 cup
Lemons - juice 3 lemons
Make simple syrup. Bring 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan and cook until the sugar dissolves. Refrigerate until cold.
Place the tea bags in a 2-cup glass measuring cup and add 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes, then discard the tea bags.
Meanwhile, combine 1⁄2 cup of the simple syrup mixture, lemon juice, bourbon and 2 cups of water in a pitcher. Stir in the brewed tea and refrigerate until cold.
To serve, fill glasses half full with ice and pour in the drink mixture. Garnish with lemon slices from the last lemon and serve ice cold.
